I know I've become pretty lazy with the reviews these days, but I now intend to only feature films that I truly love. This is one of them.

That's a hell of a cast. I've been watching television on DVD. Right now, I'm watching Six Feet Under and loving it.

LA, television on DVD rules. It's unfortunate the writer's strike can't be resolved. (But it seems like you've found the solution!)

Great adaptation of a great book by Larry McMurtry

Since this film came out the year I was born, I haven't seen it. I'll have to hop to it.

Amber, I can see both of your posts!! TLPS is actually a movie set in rural Texas in the 1950's.

Diane, I can only imagine how good the book is. I like to rent this every once in awhile, and each time I see it, I find new meaning!!

Edit, it's amazing. The black & white cinematography alone is worth the rental fee.

Yes but there should be three posts from me here.. I wrote that my sister didn't like Juno.. She said it was gay.. And she said she didn't know where I could have cryed.. So I guess it all depends on your taste.. Although it is rated higher than superbad and knocked up ...

Well, sometimes blogger trips and drops a comment. And they break into a bunch of pieces.

I am looking forward to renting Juno, so don't tell me anymore until I see it!!

GetFlix, this is on the top of my lists of Movies I Love! I caught this once on late night TV in my teens and it transformed my life. Growing up in a small town, I related so much to it. I even have an entry in my diary, because I was hell bent on breaking hearts like Cybil Shepherd's character Jacy. What a bitch! You need to see Cybil in the original version of The Heartbreak Kid with Charles Grodin. She showed alot of promise in the beginning of her career!

Good choice!

Transformed is right, Kook!! This is the gem they never talk about. But cut Jacy some slack . . .

And forget Jeff Bridges. I want to channel Peter Bogdanovich. He actually dated Cybill for a couple of years.

Cloris Leachman was really good in this as well. Her character was so heartbreaking.

Let's not forget, Bogdanovich dated Dorothy Stratten before her husband killed her and then went on to her teenage sister. Let's just hope you stop at Peter circa 1971.

BTW, Cybil Shepherd looks just like Chloe Sevigny there.
